Man, and I thought this pope would be
alright...unfortunately, the pontiff's opinion does not line up with
basic Biblical theological foundational truth....The Pope is quoted at saying that redemption can be recieved by doing "good works" (in this article). Without going on a theological diatribe about the works vs. faith argument; suffice to say that yes, our Christain faith should show (and is evidenced by) fruit (actions, works), but our salvation is in accepting the gift of the Gospel of the Kingdom, the repenting (turning) from Sin and letting Christ be the leader of our lives as opposed to sin and our own mind. Basic theology 101 here, sad to hear the Pope seems to be walking the fence on this Biblical truth. I'm just saying....
