Can the ARMY catch a clue? Give Spc. Alexis Hutchinson and her child a break...or just an Administrative Dishcharge at the least....

O.K., Armed Forces (all of them) if a woman gets pregnant on active duty, has a child and gets deployed and NO ONE can take care of that child, time for at the least an ADMINISTRATIVE discharge, good Lord, here is what the ARMY said (from HERE) : "Her civilian attorney, Rai Sue Sussman, said Monday that one of Hutchinson's superiors told her she would have to deploy anyway and place the child in foster care." Shesh...get over it ARMY, foster care is not an option, let the woman OUT.

If we spend millions on training an individual, do we throw them out once becoming a single parent? Doesn't make scents to me.

Risk we take Al. We train thousands of Marines, Airmen, Sailors and Soldiers. There are many reasons that a relative few get administratively discharged, having to put your child in foster care should be one of them.

As a former Marine, I see that as being the HONORABLE thing to do.

I understand her situation but after hearing the story & her speak, seems like she could have planned better & sought some type of action before it got to this point.
