...With Bow Wow, Nick Cannon and Megan Good. Not bad. I thought it would be (as I was banning Black movies for a while because of gangtsa/ stereotype trife) but to my pleasant surprise the movie had a good normal story, no gangstsas or pimps, or basic 70’s negative imagery.
It was a damn good coming of age period piece circa 1978. The film I am working on, tentatively titled “13 Weeks”, is also a coming of age period piece taking place in 1989, so I wanted to see the tempo in this film. Basically, I will say (as Paul Wall says) “Simply Amazing”.
The music was incredible, well used and syncopated nicely, and the film was tied up well at the end which gave me some things to discuss with the writers regarding how our little story ends up.
Again, I know I’m late, but the film was refreshing.
I am veryyyyy late also, cause I have never seen this movie. It didn't really seem all that intriguing to me... maybe I'll use my free Blockbuster rental and see it this weekend?

Well BCT, it isn't Acadamy Award winning quality, but it is a nice story, I think you might enjoy it, and "Free" is the best price!
