    I Believe

I have my mansion now, Oh
    I Believe, I Believe, I Believe
I'll have me mansion now, Oh
I Believe, I believe just what he said

I'll do all things through Christ, Oh
    I Believe, I Believe, I Believe
I'll do all things through Christ, Oh
I Believe, I believe just what he said

He shall supply my need, Oh
    I Believe, I Believe, I Believe
He shall supply my need, Oh
I Believe, I believe just what he said

    BRIDGE I:

By faith I believe it, By faith I receive it
By faith I can have it, By faith I can share it
I believe just what he said

I have my mansion now, Oh
    I Believe, I Believe, I Believe
I'll have me mansion now, Oh
I Believe, I believe just what he said

He worked it out for me, Oh
    I Believe, I Believe, I Believe
He worked it out for me, Oh
I Believe, I believe just what he said

    Bridge II:

By faith I will know it, By faith I will show it
By faith I will bare it, and now I'll declare
I believe just what he said

I have my mansion now, Oh
    I Believe, I Believe, I Believe
I'll have me mansion now, Oh
I Believe, I believe just what he said

    I Believe, I Believe
    I Believe, I Believe, I Believe
    I Believe, I Believe
I Believe, I believe just what he said

He loosed the guilty stain, Oh
    I Believe, I Believe, I Believe
He loosed the guilty stain, Oh
I Believe, I Believe just what he said

I read the story elsewhere. I don't think there is an explanation, other than racism and stupidity. I hope those kids come across some decent people soon.

I saw this story on the news last night. One comment that was "overheard" indicated one of the club members didn't like the racial mix of the day care kids. This was relayed to the club president. If true, the club's response is unacceptable.

That said, if I was a club member and my club pool was overrun by a bunch of daycare kids (of any race), I wouldn't be too happy. I'd be very upset that the club allowed a daycare in to begin with...

@Randy:

Well, if the issue were just them being daycare kids, I might have some empathy, the words chosen seem to indicate something else.

For reasons such as this, I believe that the African-American community needs another leader like MLK to be a liaison to the outside world. A person like that needs to rise up, I pray for those children.

DJBA, at the initial problem, the words spoken were from folks around the pool. The swim club president hadn't said much and hadn't said anything to indicate WHY the kids were asked not to come back.

Of course, now, the swim club president (or at least officials) have tried to "clarify" their response. Had this "clarification" been expressed to begin with, we might give it more credence, but now it smells of cover-up.

My question to the president would have been this: If safety (or anything else) was a concern, why didn't you think of that BEFORE you accepted them.

I guess I'm saying I'm in your court. It saddens me to see this kind of prejudice.

Oh, one other thing, some of the kids were Hispanic, so it's not simply a matter of white-on-black bigotry. Not that that improves things..
