O.K. Right Wingers, can you quit the whining? This whole "Obama is a socialist" thing is getting REAL TIRED...

I was over at Conservative Black Woman's Blog, and YET AGAIN, another conservative right winger is spouting off about how Barack Obama is a "socialist" which is really getting stupid.

How about, instead of the right wasting time and energy on trying to prove that President Obama is a "Socialist" from the internationally acclaimed "Chicago Socialist School of Richard J. Daley," perhaps...I don't know...actually try providing alternatives to mitigate the movements of the extreme left (which, I'm sorry to inform you Barack is NOT a part of).

You all could give him the ability to bring things more central under the cover of "bipartisanism" if at the damn least you all would be adults about this and instead of just hoping he fail, maybe try to come to terms to make things work for ALL of American (right, left, white, black, pepsi, coke, McDonald's, Burger King). Provide reasonable alternatives to his plans, or extreme alternatives from which both sides could move to a compromise? But NOOOOOO you all want to continue with this silly socialistic drivil, it just makes you all look as looney as the black helicopter conspiracy theorist...just saying...

I'm just curious what definition of "socialism" they're working from, because last I checked Obama hasn't said anything about handing control of all private businesses over to the workers, or nationalizing all corporations in the country.

I also don't like how "socialism" is now used simply to elicit snarls.

I think some people just don't understand the meaning of the phrase "mixed economy" and assume that everything must be EITHER capitalist OR socialist.
