Black Problems affect Black MEN, Black WOMEN and Black CHILDREN…

Black Problems affect Black MEN, Black WOMEN and Black CHILDREN… This should go without saying, but apparently it needs to be said. We have some serious issues going on in the African American community at large.

Here is a short list (in no particular order):

*Failing Schools

*Crime

*Misogyny

*The distorted over sexualized image of Black Women

*Self Hatred

*The Gangster – Thug – Pimpification of the image of Black Males

*Health and Diet

Every one of these affects us all, regardless of location, income, education level, political affiliation, gender or age, simple as that. In fact these things affect the greater American society, but that is another discussion.

Fact is, I am tired of Black Men and Women warring with each other while these problems MULTIPLY by the damn second. WE have to work together, simple as that, it doesn’t take the Wisdom of Zehuti to grasp this novel concept people, ya'll about to make me go Super Saiyan 5 up in this piece...

i agree with your list and would like to add a few items:
* Normalization of the culture of out-of-wedlock children
* Lack of focus on Education
* Over-reliance on the Black Church for guidance
* Over-reliance on the Government to address issues within the Black community
