    I Believe

I have my mansion now, Oh
    I Believe, I Believe, I Believe
I'll have me mansion now, Oh
I Believe, I believe just what he said

I'll do all things through Christ, Oh
    I Believe, I Believe, I Believe
I'll do all things through Christ, Oh
I Believe, I believe just what he said

He shall supply my need, Oh
    I Believe, I Believe, I Believe
He shall supply my need, Oh
I Believe, I believe just what he said

    BRIDGE I:

By faith I believe it, By faith I receive it
By faith I can have it, By faith I can share it
I believe just what he said

I have my mansion now, Oh
    I Believe, I Believe, I Believe
I'll have me mansion now, Oh
I Believe, I believe just what he said

He worked it out for me, Oh
    I Believe, I Believe, I Believe
He worked it out for me, Oh
I Believe, I believe just what he said

    Bridge II:

By faith I will know it, By faith I will show it
By faith I will bare it, and now I'll declare
I believe just what he said

I have my mansion now, Oh
    I Believe, I Believe, I Believe
I'll have me mansion now, Oh
I Believe, I believe just what he said

    I Believe, I Believe
    I Believe, I Believe, I Believe
    I Believe, I Believe
I Believe, I believe just what he said

He loosed the guilty stain, Oh
    I Believe, I Believe, I Believe
He loosed the guilty stain, Oh
I Believe, I Believe just what he said

In all fairness though, Richard clearly went crazy, Tim seems to have been rather non-chalant about it, and very methodical. That makes this a slight bit difference where Richards clearing is flipped out, this doesn't apear to be an anger fueled rant. (Not saying Richard's apology should be taken at face here-just that the circumstances make Tim's apology even harder to accept)

Good point Thom. Richards COULD have been having a breakdown and just went off, Tim said that crap with serious intent and in a calm state.

I don't like NBA players, so let it be known. I don't like NBA players and I don't like to be around NBA players. I'm basketballaphobic. I don't like it. It shouldn't be in the world or in the United States.

Wow... I don't even know where to begin with this one. I'm amazed by Tim's brazen ridiculousness. It's sad and I too am embarrassed for him, but what's even more sad is that I know there were many people that listened to his vile rant and thought nothing wrong of it. If Timmy believes homosexuality to be immoral, that's okay. In fact, he even has the right to express it publicly, but going on a tirade about hating an entire group of folks is some sociopathic shit. WTF? Did he get gang-raped by drag queens at a Pride Parade or what?

I agree Ricardo, about the Black LGBT community not accepting his lame attempt at an apology. I refuse it wholeheartedly as it was insincere, making it equally as disrespectful as the tirade itself. I just got through reading an email from the National Black Justice Coalition (a Black LGBT organization) where H. Alexander Robinson, (Executive Director/CEO) has invited Tim to sit down and pow wow. While I thought that was quaint at best, I was very disappointed to see that Robinson even thought that Tim would be open to such. Dude [Tim] made it abundantly clear that he has some serious issues. Whether or not it's a "cry for help" or not, I can't say but I certailnly doubt it. Sitting down and talking reasonably with him will not work. His rant was so filled with emotion that it's obvious that his mmind is made up. And guess what? That's okay because as immature and lame as his attitude may be toward U/us, it is indeed his right to have that opinion. I applaud the open arms that Robinson has presented for discussion; ahhhh, that's so sweet. But f*ck Tim Hardaway with some gay man's dildo. W/we can't save everybody from their own madness. I say let Tim walk around looking like an asshole; now W/we know his true colors. W/we as gay ppl and even sympathetic str8 ppl can give him the proverbial finger that he sooo deserves. Also, kudos to David Stern for his quick and decisive action against Tim. Stern made no bones about letting the public know that Tim's statements were no reflection of the NBA as a whole. While I know there are quite a few players that share Tim's sentiment, the next player (former or current) might think more carefully before spewing hate speech. Now that Tim's pocket is a little lighter, I hope he'll think before he speaks. No...how about I hope he just doesn't speak.

The one great thing about all of this is that I think his stupidity has forced discourse, esp in regard to the Black community. Now W/we are all forced to confront the homophobia that is so prevelant in O/our Black social circles. Timmy did the LGBT community [Black & non-Black] a HUGE favor cuz this is not gonna go away too soon. The media is always watching for the next screw-up. I just hope it ain't another brutha that commits it.

"But f*ck Tim Hardaway with some gay man's dildo"

See, that's why you are my consigliare Stacy, you just say it like it should be!!

lol

Shame.

Im straight, but not narrow minded, I APPROVE giving Tim the middle finger. He does have a right to his opinion, but damn, he didnt have to go hard. When I heard this news, I did think he might have been "displacing," coming down hard on gays because he hated that quality in himself, but Im not quite sure. Either way, he fucked himself.

I am so glad that the NBA came down hard on Tim for those comments. I think there is a way to state ones opinion without smacking someone in the face in the process.

Yeah Tim...I hate too...cept I hate STOOPIT PEOPLE!

I'm not into basketball, so I didn't know much about this guy, but I guess he was supposedly one of the nicer players. Just like Kobe before his incident, but I digress...

He told the world how he feels and his apology is meaningless. He is not sorry for the words that he said, only that people are upset with him. I don't understand why he is so hateful. Maybe he is gay himself and doesn't want to accept it.

"Maybe he is gay himself and doesn't want to accept it."

I would be willing to bet that this is true.

I recently heard the actual interview. I was shocked at how calm and matter of fact he was about it. When Fox News is critical of your comments about being homophobic, you know you probably crossed a line. :)

When men are so vehemently against homosexuality, to the point of sounding angry and aggressive, that's not a good sign that he's sure of his own sexuality.
